About Me

My photo
We started our eternal family November 8, 2008 in the Logan temple. Our beautiful son was born August 28, 2009. We are so blessed to be parents we don't know what we would do without Isaiah! He has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives! We thank heavenly father daily! Mike builds and fixes computers, is trying to start up two businesses, going to school and is working for ThermoFisher. I get to work at Post High working with special needs students part time and be a full time mom I love both my jobs! We are busy to say the least but when we have free time we enjoy taking Isaiah to the park, going on walks, watching movies, and spending time with our wonderful friends and families!

19 Months

Wow is it just me or is this year just flying by my word! I feel like i just wrote Isaiah's 18 month post, but here I go again! 18 months has brought in a few new things:

  • Poor kid got his shoots once again I will say the older he gets the more I dislike taking him to get them done he was so happy and talkative then the mean mean lady stuck him :( tears and no longer a happy boy. He would point to his legs and say oh ouchie!

  • Isaiah "says" prayers every night before going to bed ADORABLE

  • Isaiah has never really been a here sit on my lap and listen to a story baby which I will take full blame in, anyways for the last 2 weeks we lay down and read a story before bed and he is actually holding still and really listening to the story!

  • He still is in LOVE with his papa all you have to say is papa and he lights up!

  • When we are at Grams and Papas house he always gets candy he know right where it is and will take papa right over there first thing.

  • I know I say this a ton but he is so SMART it kills me he fully understands me and does pretty much whatever I ask him to do unless of corse it is something I ask him to stop doing because it is naughty or he could get hurt... the other day I said randomly Isaiah could you shut the bathroom door for me please, and he runs over and does it! Or Isaiah could you bring me a spoon, and he brings me a spoon not a knife or a fork a spoon! I wish he would learn to listen when I really need him to tho!

  • He is now in a twin bed blah He LOVES it! I tried to lay by him and he pushed me off saying no no momma haha what a butt

  • He WENT POTTY IN THE BIG BOY POTTY! I have a feeling that potty training is just around the corner {CRAP} he will point to his diaper and I will say did you just go pee pee and he says yeah and if he does the other he will point and plug his nose and say pu haha

  • The other day we were in Old Navy, I always have to look at all the little girl things {not sure why it is like putting salt in a cut} I asked Isaiah boogie do you want a baby sister he threw up his hands and said YEAH haha now to get mike on that boat haha

We just love Isaiah to pieces he is so much fun, and so loveable! We are very lucky to have him in our little family I don't know what I would do with out him and his sweet tender heart! We are truly blessed!

St. Paddy's Day

We had a GREAT St. Patrick's Day!! I love holidays everyone of them and I want Isaiah to look back on his childhood and LOVE IT and be able to pass some of our little traditions to his kids!

He woke up to Rainbow Waffles with cottage cheese clouds (the waffles were a pain I will have to find something a little easier) He LOVED them, lately he hasn't been eating good he had two FULL waffles and he ate all his clouds I was such a happy momma! After breakfast he got to pick out a show to watch he picked BOLT he LOVES this show haha!

After he woke up from his nap he ate his green lunch, then we walked over to the park behind our house! He is such a boy!! I took him down the big slide after going down a couple time together he decided that mom wasn't fast enough so he ran up to it and went down by him self! He LOVED it, the second he got down he was climbing right back up to go again so CUTE!

Later we went out to Grams and Papas house to tell them HAPPY ST.PADDY'S DAY haha! We hung out there the rest of the night Isaiah LOVES to be there he is always such a SAD SAD boy when we leave! My Parents are so AMAZING last Oct. the decided that they were going to start doing Foster Care they went to the classes and everything passed the home check on the first visit which doesn't happen very often, then the office did their paper work in record time which again doesn't happen they told them it would take up to a month maybe longer because it was right before Christmas! So the case worker had said that someone must NEED to be in the Barretts home! In Feb. they got their fast placement, things didn't go like everyone hopped so she was placed with a different family, My mom had a really hard time with it because she felt like she was giving up on this girl, so the social worker told her that she could be the girls life couch and that my mom could still take her and do things with her which made my mom feel a little better about it all! Last wed. they got another call about a placement it was a group of siblings 3 brothers my parents prayed about it and felt like it was good idea so they now have a 11 year old, 10 year old, and a 8 year old they are so CUTE and it is such a different feel then the first placement the boys are so EXCITED about everything when my mom pulled up to the house for the first time they all said OH I LOVE MY NEW HOUSE! IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL! then when they met all of us OH I LOVE MY NEW SISTERS, I LOVE MY BROTHERS! I just LOVE them already they are all so fun and cute with Isaiah, they love babies! The youngest brother D asked my mom how long they could stay with their "New Mom" she said well how long do you want to stay, he said with a huge grin Forever and EVER! J the second oldest told my mom that he doesn't want to go back to live with his real mom he wants to stay with her she asked how come and he said because you are a better mom to me and my brothers, you take better care of us and I LOVE you! Blah how sweet is that! I can't even think about them leaving without getting sad! My mom is just WonderWomen to me she is not only a mom to me, Kayla, Gabby, and Austin she is now a mom to R, J, and D and she is a life couch to C, then on top of all that she is a WONDERFUL Grandma to Isaiah and a way cool PE teacher as well! She ROCKS my socks! I hope to be half the women she is when I grow up!

18 Months

Holy cow we are half way to 2, I am so excited for this because my uncles will be home and will be able to finally meet my adorable kid!! And maybe just maybe I can get Mike talked into maybe start trying for baby number 2 haha I highly doubt this but a girl can dream right haha ;) Isaiah went to nursery all by himself Sunday he totally rocked went straight in and started playing TEAR my baby is growing up!

  • He is 26 lbs and 4 oz 56%
  • He is 32 3/4 in 64% (maybe he will be a tall boy!!)
  • He talks nonstop he hasn't really said anything new basically same old words! He did say eww last night while eating, and this morning I swear he said Thank You perfectly! He understands what he is saying and it is so fun but can also be so frustrating, the other night as we were eating dinner I said "here eat this bread" and he goes "OH NOOO!" what a stinker!
  • When he wants to watch tv/a movie he turns on the tv and sits on the couch waiting for me to do the rest!
  • He totally understands pretty much everything I tell him (love this)
  • Does Set Hike sooo cute!
  • If I am singing or humming he will hum the tune.
  • He is a wonderful helper he loves to unload the dishwasher, throw things away, grab things in the store, give daddy things, and sweep.
  • He folds his arms when we say prayers, and sometimes he will gibber jabber a prayer! This is probably the cutest thing he does I LOVE it!
  • Does a scary face it is pretty funny not so much scary!
I sure enjoy being Isaiah's momma! We have lots of fun together! He is so very smart, he always is doing something new so much fun! We are so lucky he hasn't really been sick or had any too serious problems (knock on wood) When we were at the doctors yesterday she just kept saying he is doing Perfect! That is so very nice to hear!! We LOVE you boggie!
