When I was a young kiddo I hated Big Blue the minute I saw him no matter how far away he was I would freak out and when I say freak out I mean bawling and shaking and barring my head into my moms arm pit. The older I got sadly the fear didn't go away although the freak outs did not saying that I didn't run to the bathroom when I saw him walking down our aisle :) I haven't been to a football game/ basketball game for a long while and I have just not thought about Big Blue for a very long time that is until today....Right before lunch there was an announcement made that there would be a special visitor today because of how well the kids did with the food drive they just got done with I didn't think anything, I had the kids that I work with wash their hands and then we headed down to the lunch room, I walked in to the lunch room and about had a heart attack all those old feeling came right back. The kids that I walked down with of course thought that he was the coolest thing ever and wanted to give him high five and hug him I told them to hurry and give him a high five so they did when I walked by he still had his hand out for me to give him a five NO THANK YOU i just keep walking then I was afraid that he was going to chase me down or something. He stayed most of lunch, then one of my students asked me to take his picture with Big Blue that is right I had to stand there close enough to take a stupid picture as I was shaking and trying really hard to keep my cool I am 22 for the love :)
I have decided that I still have a very strong hate towards him. I am sure the guy that gets to dress up as Big Blue is a nice normal guy but I can't get over the fact that he doesn't talk and you don't know who it is under that mask bahaha it just creeps me out! so there you have it I am a freak always have been and proven today always will be!
